Precision in its purest form

For years, our BRAX subwoofer has been considered the benchmark for precision and unconditionally controlled bass reproduction. This made the task of creating a BRAX subwoofer that uncompromisingly reproduces the deepest details, even in the smallest possible enclosures, all the more demanding. Every component of this exceptional subwoofer is designed not only for dynamics and perfect tonality, but also to convert even the highest amplifier power into sound pressure without compression. MicroSphere – a material for two opposing requirements. The demand for maximum diaphragm rigidity combined with the highest internal damping is like squaring the circle – but the unique MicroSphere coating, in which ceramic micro-hollow spheres with a diameter of only 75 µm are embedded in a polymer layer and applied to the diaphragm, makes the impossible possible. It gives the hand-crafted cone the highest degree of acoustic precision for unparalleled reproduction. Timeless elegance. The clear, minimalist design language is the hallmark of every BRAX product – the ML8 SUB follows this philosophy unconditionally. The combination of the finest materials is complemented by the optionally available, solid-machined... The stainless steel ring MR8 is further emphasized, which, depending on the installation position, can be used as a mounting ring or to hold the grille. The ML8 SUB is, of course, delivered in an elegant wooden box and with its own serial number, which is recorded in a service database.

Technical Data

Our specifications for the net volumes of closed enclosures always refer to an unfilled enclosure without any insulating material. The net volume can be reduced by completely filling the inside of the enclosure loosely (not tightly) with suitable materials. The following materials can be used for damping: Polyester wadding allows a volume reduction of up to 5%. Mineral or rock wool allows a volume reduction of up to 10%. Sheep's wool allows a volume reduction of up to 20%. Note: Damping bass-reflex enclosures (if they are used exclusively in the bass range up to 150 Hz) is counterproductive because the damping material usually reduces the effect of the bass-reflex port.
