It's truly astonishing how the factory speakers in the Porsche Cayman perform when properly driven!
This upgrade isn't just a good choice if the original ASK amplifier is faulty. Our upgrade removes the unreliable and weak ASK amplifier from the Sound Package Plus, adapts the MATCH UP8 DSP amplifier, and adjusts the wiring.
The result is a sound experience that even surpasses the Cayman's Bose system!
This set is suitable for Porsche Cayman (987) models from 2004 to 2009 with PCM2.1 and ASK Sound Package Plus. The amplifier is located in the front trunk of this vehicle.
Features:
- 8-channel Class HD upgrade amplifier with integrated 9-channel 64-bit DSP for universal applications
- MATCH Extension Card slot (MEC) for additional input/output modules such as Bluetooth® audio streaming, high-resolution audio streaming via USB, etc.
- Intelligent high-level input with ADEP.3 circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection) and automatic power-on
- Unique DSP features such as "Augmented Bass Processing" for dynamic optimization of the subwoofer's low-frequency response, "StageXpander" for widening the stereo perspective, the "RealCenter" function, which provides a perfectly focused soundstage for both driver and passenger, and much more
- Easy configuration via intuitive DSP PC tool software
- Start-stop capability down to 6 volts supply voltage
- Optical SPDIF input with a sampling rate between 12 and 96 kHz
- Mono RCA output for connecting additional amplifiers, e.g., a subwoofer amplifier
- Compact dimensions and minimal heat generation thanks to maximum efficiency
Special Features:
Class HD Technology
The UP 7DSP combines the advantages of Class H technology with the principle of a Class D amplifier. The result is unsurpassed efficiency, surpassing even conventional Class D amplifiers. The Class HD concept demonstrates its advantages at low and medium output levels, as the power supply regulates the internal supply voltage of the power stages depending on the amplitude of the input signal. This drastically reduces the average power loss generated by the amplifier.
Intelligent High-Level Input ADEP.3
Modern factory-installed car radios are becoming increasingly intelligent in their diagnostics of connected speakers. The latest generation, in particular, is equipped with additional monitoring functions, which can lead to error messages or even malfunctions when an additional amplifier is connected. The new ADEP.3 circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection Generation 3) prevents these problems without unnecessarily stressing the radio's speaker outputs at high levels.
Start-Stop Capability
The power supply in the UP 7DSP amplifier ensures a stable internal voltage supply even during brief voltage drops down to 6 volts. This guarantees that the amplifier remains fully functional even when the engine is started. If the on-board voltage drops below 10.5 volts for more than 5 seconds, the amplifier enters "Protect Mode" (status LED glows solid red) to prevent further battery discharge. Automatic Digital Signal Detection: Switching between the analog and digital inputs is signal-controlled. As soon as an audio signal is detected at the optical input, the amplifier switches to this input. This function can be deactivated in the DSP PC-Tool software, or alternatively, manual control via an optional remote control can be selected. Power Save Mode: The Power Save Mode allows the power consumption of the UP 7DSP (and any additional connected amplifiers) to be drastically reduced if no input signal is present for more than 60 seconds. Once the Power Save Mode is active, the internal amplifier stages of the UP 7DSP and the remote output are switched off, thus significantly reducing power consumption. The amplifier returns to normal operation within 2 seconds as soon as a music signal is present at its input. The shutdown delay can be varied or completely deactivated using the DSP PC-Tool software.
DSP Features:
RealCenter
The "RealCenter" function is a proprietary algorithm from Audiotec Fischer that emphasizes the monaural information of the left and right front channels to create a unique center signal. Unlike conventional methods that simply sum the channels, this method also dynamically controls the center signal based on the stereo information content of the left and right channels. This means that the center channel does not reproduce a signal if only the left or only the right channel is supplying an audio signal. With conventional algorithms, the center channel would only be 6 dB quieter in this case. Audiotec Fischer's "RealCenter" thus enables a unique, wide-ranging soundstage – equally optimal for driver and passenger! The disadvantages of a conventional center channel, such as an intrusive, narrow spatial sound presentation, are finally a thing of the past.
Augmented Bass Processing
Audiotec Fischer's proprietary "Augmented Bass Processing" consists of two revolutionary sound features: "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" and "SubXpander." These have been specially developed to dramatically improve the bass response of subwoofers.
"Dynamic Bass Enhancement" ingeniously combines maximum deep bass foundation and high maximum sound pressure level – regardless of the music genre or the radio's sound settings. Depending on the input signal, "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" amplifies the lower frequency range and also varies the cutoff frequency of the subsonic filter. The result is significantly more powerful, deeper bass reproduction at low and medium volumes without the risk of mechanically or electrically overloading the subwoofer at high volumes. It's simply fascinating what kind of bass performance is suddenly possible. For those who want the low frequencies even deeper and "blacker," the "SubXpander" can be activated. This adds subharmonic tones to the fundamental frequencies in the 50 to 100 Hz range. StageXpander: Depending on the speaker arrangement in the vehicle, a more or less wide stereo image can be achieved in the front seats. If a center speaker is also installed, it can sometimes further limit the spatial imaging of the music. This is where Audiotec Fischer's new "StageXpander" comes into play – a sound feature that seems to eliminate acoustic limitations, thus enabling a significantly wider stereo base without negatively impacting the precision of voice or instrument localization. The effect can be adjusted to personal taste in four stages.
ClarityXpander
Want more transparency and substance in your treble reproduction? Audiotec Fischer now offers the perfect tool with the "ClarityXpander".
When used correctly (and therefore selectable in three stages), it gives the overtones additional brilliance – especially useful if the original speakers lack the necessary sparkle in the treble range. This extra treble boost is available not only for the two front channels, but also separately adjustable for the center channel. And because even a tiny bit too much of the latter, especially in combination with music rich in overtones, can tire the ear, an automatic, dynamic control of the additional overtone content can even be activated here.

Sehr empfehlenswert
