The MATCH PP 86DSP MK2 seamlessly continues the successful concept of its predecessor, but incorporates several upgrades. As a powerful 8-channel amplifier with a 1-channel line output and an integrated 9-channel DSP with 64-bit power, it is perfectly suited for audiophile-grade upgrades to multi-channel factory sound systems and for conveniently creating an impressive listening experience.

Seamless Integration and Impressive Connectivity

The MATCH Plug & Play concept stands for seamless integration with factory systems, which has been implemented without compromise in the PP 86DSP MK2: Thanks to its impressive 2-ohm stability on all amplifier channels, connecting virtually all OE speakers is effortless, while optional wiring harnesses significantly simplify integration into existing multi-channel factory sound systems. Furthermore, the MATCH PP 86DSP MK2 is distinguished by its enhanced connectivity: In addition to the intelligent 6-channel high-level input with ADEP.3 circuitry, the PP 86DSP is equipped with a MEC slot for adding further interfaces, such as Bluetooth® audio streaming. It also features a 1-channel line output for connecting additional amplifiers, such as the MATCH UP 1FX, and an optical SPDIF input with a sampling rate between 12 and 96 kHz. Of course, the SCP port for optional accessories such as DIRECTOR, CONDUCTOR, etc., is also included.

Virtual Channel Processing – this is how signal routing works today

Optimal adaptation to existing multi-channel sound systems makes sensible management and configuration of the many DSP channels in the amplifier indispensable – therefore, it was a given that the PP 86DSP MK2 would also be equipped with Audiotec Fischer's innovative Virtual Channel Processing.

Especially when the front, rear, and center systems are divided into different active multi-way systems, conventional routing concepts quickly reach their limits in terms of both implementation and usability. The multi-stage "Virtual Channel Processing," in conjunction with the renowned user-friendly DSP PC-Tool software, makes it easy to map even highly complex system configurations and freely assign our proprietary FX sound features. Furthermore, thanks to its generous number of channels, combined with the optional MEC ANALOG IN module, the PP 86DSP MK2 is also an ideal candidate for applications requiring 1:1 routing (IOR). ACO – Advanced 32-bit Co-Processor Platform: The PP 86DSP MK2 is, of course, equipped with the proprietary 32-bit ACO platform. This platform not only handles all control tasks with ultra-fast speed but, above all, offers a whole range of audio functions: Fantastic sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing and RealCenter are implemented, as well as a channel-separated input EQ with Input Signal Analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation. Input signals from OEM radios that already include a factory-installed sound setup.

Class HD Technology

In the PP 86DSP MK2, the advantages of Class H technology are combined with the principle of a Class D amplifier. The result is an unsurpassed efficiency that surpasses even conventional Class D amplifiers. The advantages of the Class HD concept become apparent at low and medium output levels, as the power supply regulates the internal supply voltage of the power stages depending on the amplitude of the input signal. This drastically reduces the average power dissipation generated by the amplifier.

ACO – Advanced 32-Bit CoProcessor

The MATCH PP 86DSP MK2 amplifier uses a particularly powerful, latest-generation 32-bit coprocessor. This not only handles all control tasks ultra-fast, but also enables lightning-fast switching between up to ten possible sound setups.
But ACO offers much more – in addition to a channel-separated input EQ with Input Signal Analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of input signals from OEM radios and fantastic sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing or RealCenter, there is now the revolutionary TuneEQ function for automated adjustment of the output equalizers. Another significant advantage is the CoProcessor's integrated, native bootloader. This enables software upgrades for all DSP components, allowing, for example, the microcontroller-controlled ADEP.3 circuit to be adapted to future changes in factory radio diagnostic systems or to expand the device with additional interfaces. Intelligent High-Level Input ADEP.3 Modern, factory-installed car radios are becoming increasingly intelligent in their diagnostics of connected speakers. The latest generation, in particular, is equipped with additional monitoring functions, which can lead to error messages or even malfunctions when an additional amplifier is connected. The new ADEP.3 circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection Generation 3) prevents these problems without unnecessarily straining the radio's speaker outputs at high levels. Start-Stop Capability: The power supply in the PP 86DSP MK2 amplifier ensures a stable internal voltage supply even during brief voltage drops down to 6 volts. This guarantees that the amplifier remains fully functional even when the engine is started. If the vehicle's electrical system voltage drops below 10.5 volts for more than 5 seconds, the amplifier enters "Protect Mode" (status LED glows red continuously) to prevent further battery discharge. Automatic Digital Signal Detection: The PP 86DSP MK2 allows signal-controlled switching between the analog and digital inputs. As soon as an audio signal is detected at the optical input, the amplifier switches to this input. This function can be activated in the DSP PC-Tool software, or alternatively, manual control via an optional remote control can be selected. Power Save Mode: The Power Save Mode allows the power consumption of the PP 86DSP MK2 (and any additionally connected amplifiers) to be drastically reduced when no input signal is present for more than 60 seconds. As soon as the Power Save Mode is active, the internal amplifier stages of the PP 86DSP MK2 and the remote output are switched off, thus significantly reducing power consumption. The amplifier returns to normal operation within 2 seconds as soon as a music signal is present at its input. The switch-off delay can be varied or completely deactivated via the DSP PC-Tool software. DSP Features

TuneEQ

TuneEQ is an extremely flexible and particularly easy-to-use function for automated frequency response correction. A single measurement per audio channel or channel pair with a suitable measurement microphone (such as our MTK1) is sufficient for TuneEQ to automatically and precisely adjust the equalizers to the desired reference curve. TuneEQ utilizes the full range of functions of the parametric equalizer, including the center frequency, Q factor, and gain. And because the highly complex calculations required for this take place in the background, you also save a lot of time when tuning your sound with TuneEQ.

RealCenter

The "RealCenter" function is a proprietary algorithm from Audiotec Fischer that emphasizes the monaural information of the left and right front channels to create a unique center signal. Unlike conventional methods that simply sum the channels, this system dynamically controls the center signal based on the stereo information content of the left and right channels. This means that the center channel does not reproduce a signal if only the left or only the right channel is delivering an audio signal. With conventional algorithms, the center channel would only be 6 dB quieter in this case. Audiotec Fischer's "RealCenter" thus enables a unique, wide soundstage – optimal for both driver and passenger! The disadvantages of a conventional center channel, such as an intrusive, narrow spatial sound representation, are finally a thing of the past.

Augmented Bass Processing

Audiotec Fischer's proprietary "Augmented Bass Processing," consisting of two revolutionary sound features: "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" and "SubXpander." These have been specially developed to dramatically improve the bass response of subwoofers. "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" ingeniously combines maximum deep bass foundation and high maximum sound pressure level – regardless of the music genre or radio sound settings. Depending on the input signal, "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" amplifies the lower frequency range and also varies the cutoff frequency of the subsonic filter. The result is significantly more powerful, deeper bass reproduction at low and medium volumes without the risk of mechanically or electrically overloading the subwoofer at high volumes. It's simply fascinating what kind of bass performance is suddenly possible. For those who want the low frequencies to be even deeper and "blacker," the "SubXpander" can also be activated. Here, subharmonic tones are added to the fundamental tones in the frequency range between 50 and 100 Hz.
