Alpine OPTIM8 | 8-channel DSP amplifier with automatic sound tuning

With the introduction of the Alpine OPTIM8, we have eliminated many of the problems and uncertainties that typically accompany trying to fine-tune the sound of your system yourself using a digital signal processor or DSP/amplifier. The 8-channel PXE-C80-88 DSP amplifier therefore features automatic sound tuning and high-performance power, allowing you to experience the exceptional fidelity, clarity, balance, and vibrancy of your music without having to spend hours fiddling with knobs and test equipment.

Matrix mixing enables the summing and control of input and output signals. Fully adjustable high-pass, low-pass, and band-pass filters, along with a 31-band equalizer on each channel, tailor the sound to your speakers and smooth out any peaks or dips in the frequency response caused by your vehicle's interior. With time alignment, you can center the stereo image for your listening position. After initial setup with your PC, all PXE-C80-88 settings can be automatically configured using the app and the integrated microphone on your iPhone or a separate measurement microphone such as the Alpine KTX-CSP1 connected to a PC. PC users can also manually adjust all sound settings to create a personalized soundscape.

The PXE-C80-88 can, of course, be used as a standalone processor with your own amplifiers. However, its integrated 8-channel amplifier provides ample power for your entire system. Six channels deliver 35 watts RMS into 4-ohm speakers or 70 watts RMS into 2-ohm speakers, making it equally suitable for factory and aftermarket speakers. The remaining two channels, each with 130 watts RMS at 4 ohms or 260 watts RMS at 2 ohms, can be used for powerful mid-bass drivers and subwoofers.
