Option Rock-8 bass reflex subwoofer for the VAG spare wheel rim, 2x4 ohms

The ROCK-8-D4 is a passive bass-reflex subwoofer that, thanks to its 20 cm driver and 200 watts RMS power handling, delivers impressive, deep bass for a powerful listening experience. The ROCK-8-D4 features two voice coils, each with an impedance of 4 ohms, allowing for flexible matching with various amplifiers. Its design is tailored to fit inside a standard 16" spare tire well, making it compatible with all 16" and larger spare tire wells. The OEM-style design ensures that the bass reflex subwoofer perfectly matches the original look of your vehicle without affecting the interior. The following impedance options are available for this subwoofer: 2x4 ohms, 1x2 ohms, or 1x8 ohms. For other installation requirements, there is also the ROCK-8-D2 variant with 2x 2 ohms. Compatibility with Seat/Cupra Beats sound systems and 5-channel DSP sound upgrade: SEAT/Cupra/VW Beats sound systems come standard with a The original Beats subwoofer features a 16cm driver in a sealed plastic enclosure. Our ROCK-8 subwoofers, whether ROCK-8-D4 or ROCK-8-D2, produce a richer and more powerful bass than the original Beats subwoofer thanks to a larger 20cm driver and an additional bass reflex port. Upgrading to a ROCK-8 subwoofer is therefore always recommended.

However, there is a small but important difference between the ROCK-8-D4 and the ROCK-8-D2:

For Seat and CUPRA vehicles with Beats sound system and the retrofit of one of our 5-channelDSP sound upgrades with MATCH M5.4DSP, this ROCK-8-D4 woofer with its 2 x 4 ohms is ideally suited and can be easily plugged into the vehicle's existing connector. Due to the higher power output of the DSP amplifier in the sound upgrade, maximum bass performance can be expected in conjunction with the ROCK-8-D4. ROCK-8-D4 directly connected to the Beats amplifier (without DSP sound upgrade): The ROCK-8-D4 spare tire subwoofer can also be connected directly to the Beats sound system. Due to its 2x4 ohm impedance, this subwoofer experiences a slight power loss when connected directly to the Beats sound system, delivering approximately 90% of the bass output. Nevertheless, the ROCK-8-D4 is louder and more intense than the original Beats subwoofer. For those considering connecting a ROCK-8 subwoofer to their Beats system first and later adding a 5-channel sound upgrade, we recommend the ROCK-8-D4. While it won't deliver the full performance of the Beats amplifier (only about 90%), it eliminates the need to replace the subwoofer when adding a sound upgrade later. Important note: For connecting a ROCK-8 subwoofer directly to the original Beats amplifier or one of our 8-channel DSP sound upgrades, the ROCK-8-D2 is better suited, as it is equipped with... The ROCK-8-D2 can develop the most powerful bass with 2x2 ohms using the original Beats power amplifier. However, this ROCK-8-D2 is not compatible with the MATCH M5.4DSP.
